Master Plan Report for WInchester, MA by JM Goldson

JM Goldson worked in close collaboration with the Winchester Planning Department, Planning Board, and Master Plan Steering Committee to produce the Winchester Master Plan, which was the recipient of the MA American Planning Association 2020 Comprehensive Planning Award.

Supported by team members at RKG Associates, Nelson\Nygaard, and Bob Mitchell, FAICP, JM Goldson led Winchester’s first master planning project since 1953. Four core themes emerged through the planning process based on the community’s values and priority issues.

  1. Balancing Development with Preservation

  2. Ensuring Sustainability

  3. Building Community

  4. Connecting People to Places
