Boston Preservation Alliance is holding a workshop about preserving religious properties including building assessment, maintenance, and energy efficiency. It costs $10 and is being held on Saturday, November 13th at the Roxbury Presbyterian Church in Roxbury, MA. Community Preservation Act funds are often considered for preservation of churches and other religious structures, however Community Preservation Committee's (CPC) are often hesitant about funding such projects.
This workshop appears to be a good opportunity to help congregations who may be seeking funds (CPA or other funds) as well as members of CPCs to better understand preservation needs and considerations that are specific to religious properties.
