The Easton Affordable Housing Trust's Action Plan, which was adopted on December 16th, is now available online. Beth Rust, housing consultant and Sudbury's Housing Specialist, and I teamed to create this plan. We worked closely with the new Board of Trustees to study Easton's housing needs and identify the community's goals and priorities for the new Board. Among the Board's priority initiatives are to create a municipal housing office, establish a homebuyer program, promote the adoption of inclusionary zoning, and pursue a development project. The plan also includes a one-year action matrix and a five-year budget.
The Board submitted the Action Plan to the Community Preservation Committee to seek its recommendation to Town Meeting to appropriate $425,000 of Community Preservation Act funds to the Trust.
